All Online Data Lost

Officials confirm that all online data has been lost after the Internet crashed and was forced to restart. Well, that was the news last month on The Onion. That's a parody newspaper that started in 1988 as a newspaper on paper (they still distribute it that way in some cities) and in 1996 it went online.

I thought it was a funny story & video and was surprised that most of my friends hadn't seen it and many of them didn't know about The Onion. If you send links from it to your friends, know that someone is going to take a story seriously in that Orson Welles & War of the Worlds way.

It would be a good site to use for teaching parody.
