College Open Textbooks Community

Members of College Open Textbooks Community help promote the use of open textbooks. They recently set a goal of 1000 qualified members in their online community by June. If you are interested in using and promoting these open electronic textbooks and resources, consider joining.

Free membership in this Open Education/OER/Open Textbook community (which uses Ning) allows you to network with educators and education supporters around the world through individual blogs, discussion threads, and in the special interest groups.

There are special interest groups for Accessibility Adopters, Advocates, Authors, Librarians, Researchers, and more. Each group has its own mailing list as well as discussion threads and a wall for posts. You also get your own personal page and a personal blog, in-community private messaging and can find out about upcoming events and information about more than 100 past events with archive links, presentation slides, and useful links.
